AMP Deal More Than Meets the EyeThe Qld Police Service Rugby League Association this week signed a 3 year sponsorship agreement with AMP Bank Ltd, but this agreement goes beyond the support of just the Association. The agreement brokered by the Ahern Financial Planners frrom Bundaberg, after a 2 year negotiation period, will not only see financial support for the Association, but will also include special offers to all Qld Police Officers in regards to home loans and other banking services provided by AMP Bank. In signing the agreement Carol Buys Head of Planner Distribution AMP Bank said, "AMP is extremely excited about this partnership with the Qld Police Rugby League. We see there is a comfortable fit between our organisation and the Qld Police Service, as we are both about helping people." Association President, Supt Pat Ryan agreed, saying "It is important for us that we continue to grow our Association and this agreement with AMP Bank will not only allow us to do this, but will also see many benefits flow through to the greater Qld Police Service, with the services provided by AMP bank." The agreement takes effect from the 1st of January 2008 and includes the naming rights of the Association, the State Championships, the Referees Association and the State Squad.
